VIDEO:Taylor Momsen: "The Show is being very, very supportive of the band"

Looks like Taylor Momsen will have a lot more time to focus on her music career. The actress/singer won't be returning to "Gossip Girl" next season. And if she's looking for someone else to join The Pretty Reckless, Jessica Szohr is also looking for work. She too won't be back for The CW drama's fifth season.

TV Line reports that the ladies will no longer be series regulars, but have been invited back as guest stars (which sounds pretty vague to us). So who did make the cut? Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford will all be back for more drama. And, it seems that Taylor and Jessica's loss is Kaylee DeFer's gain. She's been promoted to series regular.

When Hollywood Crush spoke to Taylor a month ago, she alluded to the fact that she wasn't even sure if she would reprise her star-making turn as Little Jenny. "We don’t even know if we're picked up for the next season," she said. "So don’t plan on seeing Jenny anytime soon, but in the future who knows?
"What I will say," she continued. "The show is being very, very supportive of the band, and you physically can't do both at the same time. I can't be on set and then in France touring or wherever. So they're writing me out of story lines and allowing me to tour, and I really have to thank them for that, so you won't see me for a while."

Are Jenny and Vanessa about to go bye-bye on Gossip Girl?

According to Michael Ausiello’s sources, they’re out like last season’s Chanel designs, as Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr will not be brought back as regulars to the CW show. But are they going to be banished from the show entirely?
Not just yet. The sources say that the two will be considered guest stars on the show, which in TV series lingo generally means appearances of 5 or less episodes.
Momsen’s future on the hit show has been up in the air for quite some time, with many speculating her days were over thanks to her emerging music career. Momsen has said in several interviews that music is her main priority in the future, as it allows her to really express her artistic side.

What’s the best way to close out SXSW — a festival that prides itself on edge and unconventionality? Give Taylor Momsen the stage!

Taylor took the stage with her band The Pretty Reckless to perform at Perez Hilton’s ‘One Night in Austin’ party, and even by normal Momsen standards, the Gossip Girl starlet outdid herself when it comes to wardrobe choice. Clad on an almost-skin-colored dress, thigh-high stockings, clear stilettos and a mini leather jacket, Momsen worked the stage like a seasoned rocker — even if she’s only 17. According to one fan report, however, things got a bit R-rated, as one Express-News writer reports:

“One partygoer left in a fury after Momsen, looking something like the Corpse Bride on her wedding night, got a female fan to strip off her shirt and dance onstage. Not an atypical heavy-metal moment — but did I mention that Taylor is 17?”

Seventeen or not, Momsen has built up quite a fanbase thanks to her television and music work — enough to make her a co-host candidate for Simon Cowell as he fleshes out his roster for The X Factor. Celebuzz exclusively reported this weekend that Momsen was in consideration for the gig because she’s “young, hip and edgy” and has just the energy the show is looking for.

Is Taylor Momsen headed for Simon Cowell’s much-anticipated new show X Factor? Sources connected to the show tell Celebuzz yes!

Celebuzz has learned producers for the show have zeroed in on the 17-year-old Pretty Reckless singer, and want her to take a stab at co-hosting the show. Earlier this week, uber-producer L.A. Reid officially signed on the dotted line to sit at the judge’s table.
We’re told that producers think the often-controversial Momsen is perfect for the spot because she’s “young, hip and edgy” and has just the energy the show is looking for.
Cowell left behind his successful American Idol franchise behind last season to produce a US version of the televised singing competition. The show, already a hit in the UK, has produced such stars as Leona Lewis. The show’s winner will receive the ultimate prize — a $5 million recording contract. Auditions start in Los Angeles March 27.

Taylor Momsen has made her penchant for patent leather, stockings and bondage-wear very apparent, but she may have outdone herself with this get-up.The Pretty Reckless singer was spotted strolling around New York City on Wednesday in a pretty interesting outfit.  The Gossip Girl vixen rocked knee-high boots that were more dominatrix than urban footwear and seemingly nothing  but undies hiding under that over-sized tee shirt and leather jacket. Black sunglasses and a choker necklace put the finishing touches on T-Moms’ Wednesday look.
