It’s been a difficult circumstance because we basically went straight from the memorial into [reworking] the two Beatles episodes, which I think are fun and optimistic, that we had always had planned. The hard part for all of us is that the past week we’ve been holed up writing the memorial episode. There were a lot of things that we had to decide — how are we going to deal with his death? At one point, we were going to have his character die after an accidental drug overdose—that was something we had considered. But we have decided that we’re not going to have him pass from that. Basically, what we’re doing in the episode is we are not telling you yet, or maybe not at all, how that character died. The idea being, how somebody died is interesting and maybe morbid, but we say very early on in the episode, “This episode is about a celebration of that character’s life.” That might be weird for some people, but it felt really exploitative to do it any other way. The cast and crew have had solace in being together. They’ve been holed up doing those Beatles numbers. There’s been tears on set. It’s been hard for a lot of people. But the really difficult thing is coming. We start shooting the memorial episode this week. We’re just now finishing it, and at the end of the week we’ll send it to [the studio 20th Century Fox Television] to get their approvals. But I think it turned out to be a lovely tribute, and it’s a very heartfelt look at how young people grieve. After that, we’re going to take two weeks or three weeks down to get our heads together because it’s been a really hard thing to write. We loved Cory and we loved Finn and it feels like a huge loss and a huge heartache not to have either of them around. We’re trying to craft an episode that’s not just about us grieving but about a lot of the young fans grieving.

GLEE! LIVE! IN CONCERT!
On the heels of blockbuster ratings for the post-Super Bowl episode Sunday night, Twentieth Century Fox Television and “Glee” co-creator Ryan Murphy are pleased to announce that the critically acclaimed “Glee Live! In Concert!,” starring 13 members of the television show’s cast, will return to North American concert stages this spring.
Beginning Friday, May 21 at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas, “Glee” stars Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike), Chord Overstreet (Sam) and Darren Criss (Blaine) will perform in an all-new singing and dancing celebration of the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning show.
The North American engagement of “Glee Live! In Concert!,” is a unique concert experience once again conceived by Murphy that will include live performances of some of the show’s most memorable musical numbers from Seasons One and Two, including “Empire State of Mind,” “Toxic,” “My Life Would Suck Without You,” “It’s My Life,” and of course, the show’s anthem, “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Described by the Los Angeles Times as “triumphant,” USA Today called last year’s concerts “equal parts musical theater, giddy pop culture phenomenon and Journey-loving rock show.”
“The cast and I were so moved by the love and enthusiasm of our fans at last year’s concerts that we knew we had to do it again,” said Murphy. “There is something magical about thousands of ‘Gleeks’ coming together to share a special night with our cast, and this tour is one way we can thank them for their unbelievable support from the beginning.”
“Joining the cast this year has been like hopping on a fast-moving train,” commented Overstreet. “I have already had so many incredible experiences, but the chance to perform live on stages across the U.S., Canada and Europe takes the cake. This is too cool.”
“Joining the cast of ‘Glee’ has been an amazing, rewarding and humbling experience all at once,” added Criss. “On top of all of that, I’m fortunate to play such a strong and interesting character like Blaine that speaks volumes to fans. Now I have the chance to perform for thousands of them this summer, and I couldn’t be more excited!”

The Rocky Horror GLEE Show
There have been a few artist themed episodes, which I enjoyed, but I’m really glad that they are paying tribute to a classic and just in time for Halloween. The kids of McKinley High put on a high school production of Rocky Horror. Principal Figgins is allowing this? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a high school accomplishing the RHPS on school grounds because of the “R” rating. Only on glee….
Rachel = Janet Weiss
Finn = Brad Majors
Mercedes = Dr. Frank-N-Furter
Kurt = Riff Raff
Brittany = Columbia
Santana = Magenta
Sam = Rocky
Artie = Dr. Scott
Dr. Carl = Eddie
Quinn, Tina, Mike, Brittany, & Artie = Partygoers / aka Transylvanians
Alternative Roles: MAGENTA - Quinn; COLUMBIA - Tina; EDDIE - Mike (?).
Unfortunately we’re going to miss out on a new glee episode this Tuesday, due to the MLB playoffs. It’s worth the wait but the anticipation is killing me! Dammit Janet is one of my favorite songs and I heard a preview of it and I think I'm going to need shock treatment just to calm me down. I hope you’re not as anxious as I am. Here is a little preview of what’s in store for us gleeks on the 26th:

L.A. Glee Viewing Parties

Thanks to Claire's, last Tuesday, I attended a Glee Season Premiere Party, they hosted, in Glendale. It was lovely and I met Brad, glee's piano man; pictures and details of the event will be posted soon. The premiere episode was just what I needed to get me back in that glee fever. I continued my search for an L.A. area viewing party and guess what? I found one! It totally looks legit and it's right in the heart of Los Angeles at the First & Hope Downtown Supper Club.

The gleewatch seems to be the L.A. gleek-spot on Tuesdays. Tuesdays just got gleekier!
