VIDEO: 'True Blood' Stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer Wonder 'Where Is Sookie?' And Tease Season 4

Out of all the "True Blood" cast members MTV News runs into at various events, premieres, etc.—wherein we do our best to charm them into revealing juicy details about upcoming seasons/episodes—the two most tight-lipped, hard to crack Truebies are definitely stars (and real-life married couple) Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.
However! During a brief, yet light-hearted chat with them at the fancy-dancy Vanity Fair post-Oscar party Sunday night, I feel as though I broke through their spoiler-free safeguards just long enough to gain some serious insight as to what really lies ahead for one Bill Compton. I also tried to get Anna to tell us where Sookie is.

"Where has Sookie gone? God, I can't tell you," Anna said with a secretive smile. "But she disappeared with a fairy godmother, so who knows."
And what does Bill think about that?
"He's so over her," Stephen quipped. "Yeah, it's just so passé. Sookie who?"
"Wow," Anna responded, feigning surprise at her hubby's jokes.

Changing tactics a bit (which also veers into spoiler territory for the non-Charlaine Harris book readers out there), I then asked Bill if we might see his character assume a new position of leadership on the show, which totally threw him off.
"Hmm, that's an interesting question," he said, now eying me a bit more suspiciously.
"I don't know if you're allowed to answer that," Anna interjected.
"It's different this year," Stephen said vaguely. "And it's good because of that."
Aha! Jackpot! Sort of? That is totally actor code speak for: "Yes, Bill Compton is totally taking over someone's position!" I think. And it's been quite a while since I've read Charlaine Harris' excellent books, upon which the excellent HBO series is based, so fellow book readers, feel free to chime in with theories, thoughts, etc.
