Glee’s Dianna Agron Calls for LGBT Acceptance

The actress who plays Quinn Fabray on Glee is making good use of her show’s filming hiatus by promoting tolerance, both onstage and on the Web.

Dianna Agron, who in April wrote a heartfelt piece about costar Chris Colfer for Time magazine’s 2011 list of the world’s 100 most influential people, has taken to her personal blog to share her thoughts on the importance of accepting people for who they are.

“Kindness moves mountains,” Agron wrote. “Acceptance opens doors, makes room for change, diffuses misunderstanding. Every day, people commit hate crimes because of misunderstandings. Hate effects the target, and consumes the person behind the gun. It is crazy to realize that we have been in war for almost our entire existence on this planet. Many times for reasons of greed and hate.”

Agron, who’s in the midst of Glee’s month-long, 42-show summer tour, also defended her choice to don a T-shirt bearing the message “Likes Girls” in a recent performance: “Many of you asked, ‘why?’ This is my response. I am not asking for you to agree with what I am saying, but if you are listening, thank you. That is all I can ask. ... I am lucky to live in a place where I can wear almost anything that I want to express myself, and that jail is not a probable consequence. Which makes me feel as if I should exercise my right to do so every now and then.”

Watch Glee's Dianna Agron Chop Off All Her Hair!

Dianna Agron Haircut
(photo courtesy of Tyler Shields - tylershields.com)

'Glee's' resident pretty and popular girl, Dianna Agron, chopped her hair off and videotaped the whole thing.  Last night at around 2:30 AM she tweeted about wrapping Season 2 and just a couple of hours ago she shared a pic of her new do (above) by Tyler Shields, Hollywood's resident cool guy photographer.  Underneath the photo she writes:
"Season 2 wrap. A remedy to the seven year itch. Finally!"
Even though she shared the video today, Tyler lets on that this was late last night:
"Late night hair cutting mission a camera a dagger and this wonderful woman!"

This haircut is kinda interesting because it certainly won't grow back in time for season 3, so maybe something BIG happens with her character (gosh, we hope she isn't the character who dies!) that'd justify a high schooler like Quinn Fabray to cut her hair.  This isn't exactly a Keri Russell/'Felicity' situation, but if they don't give her extensions next season it'll at least get a mention.
You can see the whole video on Dianna's tumblr page.

Get The Look: Dianna Agron's 'Glee' Dress Is Summer Sensational

It's not often that the cast of "Glee" rocks right. outside. our. office (a.k.a Times Square). So it goes without saying that yesterday was a pretty awesome day for us (we even sent an intrepid intern to cover the madness!). While all eyes were on the "Glee" cast as they filmed (seriously, the sidewalks were packed!), our eyes were pretty much glued on Dianna Agron, who arrived on the "set" in a super-cute, totally summer-ready, printed dress that we knew we had to have the moment we saw it.
Lucky for us (and our readers!), we're pretty determined gals, and with a little investigative prowess we were able to track it down.

Dianna's on-set "Mompos" dress was from Plenty by Tracy Reese, and is available at Anthropologie for $228. As described on the site, the look features "eyelet-style embroidery" and a "full A-line skirt" (in other words, it's adorable).
Now, if $228 is a little steep in your book, we've got you covered. Check out these slightly different but affordable alternatives:

Denim Flower Crochet Insert Waist Sundress from
Top Shop
Similarity: This dress only features embroidery along the waist-line, but the colors are a near-match, and it's quite a bargain (and we're always willing to compromise for that!).
Cost: $70

Flower Embroidered '50s Dress from
ASOS
Similarity: If you thought the original look just needed a touch more embroidery, then this is the dress for you.
Cost: $116.55
See how easy it is to get the look? If you're feeling especially bold wear it to Times Square and take part in your own "Glee" re-enactment (okay, maybe we're pushing it now but how fun would that be?!).
